Pass-O-Meter™ FAQ
Pass-O-Meter™ FAQ
How does the Pass-O-Meter™ work?
The percentage that you are given by the Pass-O-Meter™ has been formulated using regression analysis to understand how a variety of potential factors contribute to the likelihood of passing. These values have been gathered from past students. After considering many different factors, the answers to the three questions you see in the Pass-O-Meter™ significantly correlated to whether or not a student passed the exam. There are several algorithms involved, but in a nutshell, we use weighted averages of the regression results, link the relationships together, add our CPESR conversion factor, and finally arrive at your percent likelihood of passing.
Is it precise?
The Pass-O-Meter™ relies on data that is collected from our past students. As with all types of data analysis, the larger the sample size the greater the accuracy. So while it may never have pin-point accuracy, it definitely gives you a good idea regarding where you stand. As we continually accrue data from our students during each testing period, our Pass-O-Meter™ will become more and more precise.
